Walls Berry Jam Thumbprints
INGREDIENTS
2½ cups of all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon of salt
2 sticks unsalted butter at room temperature
1 cup of granulated sugar
1 egg + 1 egg yolk
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
½ cup of Walls Berry Jam
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 350°F
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt, set aside
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
- Add vanilla, egg, and egg yolk to the butter mixture one at a time
- Slowly add flour mixture, while beating, until just combined
- Scoop tablespoons of dough, roll into balls, and place on parchment lined baking sheets
- Flatten each ball of dough and create an indentation in the center using your thumb or the back of a spoon
- Fill each indentation with Walls Berry Jam
- Bake for 12–15 minutes; let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack
